Ken Nelson is a triple Grammy Award winning record producer for his work with Coldplay. He worked with Gomez and Badly Drawn Boy who both won the Mercury Music Prize. In 2003 Ken was voted “Producer of the year” by Music Week magazine.

Ken Nelson (born 6 February 1959 in Liverpool) is an English record producer.

He worked for several years on demos and developing independent artists before his breakthrough success on the Gomez album “Bring it on”.

He has also worked with Badly Drawn Boy, Howling Bells, The Charlatans, Kings of Convenience, The Orange Lights, Ray LaMontagne, Snow Patrol, Paolo Nutini, Deadbeat Darling, Okean Elzy from the Ukraine, Portugal’s The Gift and Whitecliff.
He has won three US Grammy awards, two Mercury Music Prizes, and was “Music Week” magazine’s ‘Producer of the Year’ in 2003.
