PS-1

Solid State Large Diaphragm Condenser
Stage, Studio, Voiceover or Pod-Cast Microphone

The Peluso Stage One brings Peluso large diaphragm condenser microphone technology to the stage.

Delivering detailed clarity with a warm tone that you would expect from a studio condenser. The PS-1 provides very high gain while delivering the feedback rejection required in a live environment. The capsule is internally shock mounted with dual silicone disks eliminating handling noise. A rugged metal head basket with internal foam windscreen protects against pops and moisture. An 18 dB pad switch will match the gain to familiar dynamic microphones, accommodating more powerful sources. A low-end roll-off switch reduces rumbles and a high-end roll-off switch reduces wind and other high frequency noise. Whether you are playing in a club, a theater, an arena, or at a festival; with live monitors or in-ear, this mic will bring exceptional tone and clarity to your on-stage performance! The PS-1 also makes an exceptional pod-cast and voiceover microphone for those wanting a detailed intimate vocal capture!

      Features

A few details that make the PS-1 so special

      PS-1 Pad
An 18dB pad switch, located under the head grille, will reduce gain to match familiar dynamic mics.
      PS-1 High-End Roll-Off
A high-end roll-off switch, located under the head grille, will reduce wind noise and sibilance.
      PS-1 Low-End Roll-Off
A low-end roll-off switch, located under the head grille, gently reduces low-end gain.  This can be useful in louder indoor live music environments.
      PS-1 XLR Connection
The XLR connection is soldered directly to the extra heavy-duty high circuit board on over-sized solder pads.  Designed to last for a lifetime of use.
      PS-1 Circuit Board
Hand -soldered through-hole component circuit board.
      PS-1 Transformer
Custom wound output transformer for a smooth balanced output.
      PS-1 Capsule
1" edge-terminated gold-Mylar condenser capsule. This is a true large diameter condenser capsule engineered for live performance, podcast, and voice-over work.
      PS-1 Capsule Element
The capsule element is machined with post that extends into the mic body.
      PS-1 Capsule Element
The capsule element is internally shock mounted.  The entire element is cradled by two soft flexible silicone discs.
      3-Pin XLR Cable
Our 3-pin XLR cable can be purchased here: in purple-green P-G XLR Cable; or here in black-red B-R XLR Cable
      PS-1 Inner Foam
The inside of the head grille is lined with a thin wind foam.  This foam is just enough to cut wind noise and plosives, while not impacting the full frequency response of the microphone.

        RECording Magazine Logo

"I use 4 PS-1 mic's with The Lonesome River Band. They have been dropped. Stands knocked over and in the rain at outdoor festivals. Never a problem. As soon as I hooked them up the band noticed improvement in their IEM mixes. Vocal intelligibility and clarity was better than ever. Having high and low pass filters on the mic has been an extra cool tool to enhance any singers voice."

        Headliner Magazine Logo

"The PS-1 is no joke and no exaggeration - the best sounding stage mic I've ever sang through.  I've used it in theaters, festivals, good sounding clubs and a packed Red Rocks.  The PS-1 represents the full spectrum of frequencies most accurately without too much or too little in any part of the spectrum.  I own a nuemann ksm handheld, and to me the PS-1 sounds leagues better. "
