Markus Dravs
Markus Dravs is a music producer, programmer, engineer, and mixer.
He has worked on several notable albums, including James’s Wah Wah, Björk’s Homogenic, and Arcade Fire’s albums Neon Bible and The Suburbs.
He has also worked with Coldplay on their 2008 album Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends.
In 2011 Dravs received acclaim for producing Mumford & Sons’ debut album, Sigh No More, and Arcade Fire’s The Suburbs. Sigh No More won Best British Album, and The Suburbs won Best International Album, at the 2011 BRIT Awards. The Suburbs also won the Grammy for Album of the Year.
Dravs also received praise for producing Coldplay’s fifth studio album, Mylo Xyloto (Parlophone Records/EMI), which was released October 2011 via Parlophone Records/EMI. This album has been nominated for Best Rock Album at the 55th annual session of the Grammy Awards in 2013.
Dravs produced Mumford & Sons’ second album, Babel, which was released September 2012. This album was nominated for Best Americana Album at the 55th annual session of the Grammy Awards in 2013 and won Album of the Year during the same ceremony.
Dravs himself was also nominated for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical at the 55th annual session of the Grammy Awards in 2013.
In conjunction with Kobalt Music Group, Dravs has started up a publishing and production company called Casa-D.
